What's the age requirement for my son or daughter to join the Dukes?
Ages to play or cheer for the Dukes are 7 years old prior to August 1st, thru 13 years olds, your player or cheerleader's age on August 1st determines the team you play on.

What should I bring to sign ups?
If your new to the organization, bring a copy of your child's birth certificate and of course your payment. 

What if I can't pay on the date of sign ups?
No problem, come up, sign up and we'll work with you.

I can't make it to signups on that date, what can I do?
No problem, send us an email to info@brentwooddukes.com and we will coordinate your signup with you.

Is there a multi player/cheerleader discount?
Sure is, this year's fees are $90 for one player or cheerleader, $80 for two, $70 for three or more.

Will I have to do any fundraising?
No fundraising, your child has sold enough hoagies & tickets thru out the year.

How does the organization keep the cost to play so low without fundraising?
This is done thru the success of our concession stand, and to have a successfull concession stand were going to need volunteers for Dukes games and Spartan home games.  Your head coach will coordinate your teams schedule with you.

Do I have to buy a helmet, practice pants, practice jerseys, etc?
No, we provide professionally fitted helmets and the rest of your gear, including your practice gear. You'll only need the cleats.

Will Tightspot be there at signups again to fit the cheerleaders for shoes, turtlenecks, etc.?
Yes they will be at sign ups, payment for these items are made directly to TightSpot in the form of cash, check or credit card.

What are the teams this year, will you be combining any teams this year?
The goal is a team at every age level, however signups dictate which age levels, if any, are combined. If you can't make sign ups, it is important that we know that you intend to sign up, so send email to info@brentwooddukes.com, and as always.... Bring friends!
Here are the planned teams:
7 & under (developmental team)
8 & under
9 & under
10 & under
11 & under
12&13 year olds.

When will I get to meet my head coach?
Head coaches or a representative of each team (football & cheer) will be available at sign ups to discuss any concerns that you may have.

I don't live in Brentwood, can I still sign up for the Dukes?
Sure can!

I would love to help coach with the Dukes, how can I help?
Awesome! There is a interview process and background check, if you would like to be a coach for the Dukes, send an email to info@brentwooddukes.com with your contact information and we will give you a call and discuss coaching opportunities with you.

I don't want to coach, but I want to help out, what can I do?
There are plenty of ways to help, talk to your head coach about how you could help out your team, and if you would like to help with gameday operations, send email to jveatch@brentwooddukes.com.

When does football practice begin?
Practice can begin Monday, July 30th, in accordance with SSYFL rules and regulations. Prior to the beginning of school, teams will typically practice 4 days a weeks, 6pm-8pm, usually Monday thru Thursday. Your head coach will coordinate the schedule with you.  Once school begins, practice is reduced to 3 days a week, typically Tuesday thru Thursday, this is a requirement of the SSYFL.  

Is the cheerleader practice schedule the same?
No, the cheerleader practice schedule is slightly different, your coaches will coordinate the schedule with you.

When will games begin this year?
Games are tentatively scheduled to start Saturday, September 1st, The league usually announces the final schedule in August.
